One of the best attractions at the Calgary Stampede is the annual Rotary Dream Home, built by Homes by Avi for the last 9 years. To celebrate this year’s Dream Home, Homes by Avi & Showcase Home Theatre offered an on-line contest on Homes by Avi’s website for the duration of the Calgary Stampede. Congratulations to Clayton Billey, the lucky winner of a Philips 60” high definition Display TV.
Clayton was very surprised to have won the TV which will be a nice addition to his new home, just purchased in St. Albert Edmonton. “When I got your message saying that we won the contest I forgot that I entered the contest … We are really looking forward to the moment that our new house is all finished and we are all unpacked and the first thing we are going to do is rent a movie!”
Homes by Avi is proud to play a key role in the on-going success of this important Calgary South Rotary Club fund-raiser. Over the last ten years the South Calgary Rotary Club has raised over $1.6 million through sales of Dream Home tickets, the proceeds stay in Calgary to help fund over a dozen community projects.
This year’s 2422 sq. ft. prize is the second two-storey home in the lottery’s 27th-year history. Homes by Avi pushed the limits in both its size and the latest engineering innovations required to move the mammoth structure from the stampede grounds to a corner lot in Calgary’s Rocky Ridge community. The home is built on the concrete Stampede grounds area in a short period of time and is then disassembled, transported and reassembled in Marquis’s Rocky Ridge community.
