Homes By Avi Wins a Bronze Medal 9/28/2004
Congratulations to Homes by Avi’s Tug-O-War team for their Bronze metal performance at one of Calgary Corporate Challenge’s (CCC) most popular events. Homes by Avi has been a proud sponsor of the CCC’c Tug-O-War for the past three years and this past Saturday, they placed third in their division. The timed races consisted of five teams of 8 to10 people pulling a City of Calgary transit buses.
Homes by Avi’s goal this year is to top last year’s two medal performance and by winning a medal the first day of this two week event they are off to a great start. Homes by Avi employees are proud to participate each September in a variety of athletic and non-athletic events. The results of this good natured competition promotes the interaction of co-workers, builds morale and instills company pride.
The Calgary Corporate Challenge is a volunteer-driven, Olympic-style event developed by Calgary's business community for Calgary's business community. With over 200 companies, 1,600 volunteers and over 18,000 athletes, CCC has grown to become the largest annual amateur athletic event in North America. As a non-profit organization, the CCC has raised over $1.3 million for local Calgary Charities in the past eight years and is continuously striving to increase the contribution to the community.
