Moving for a Cure; Calgary “Home of Hope” Sells 10/13/2004

On Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at 1:30 PM Homes by Avi presented The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) – Alberta/NWT Chapter with a $10,000.00 cheque from the proceeds of the sale of the “Home of Hope”- The cheque was presented at the Home of Hope, the former Evergreen Estates Show Home - located at 138 Evergreen Common SW.

The partnership was launched in June 2003 at last year’s Evergreen Estates show home parade. Working in partnership with the CBCF – Alberta/NWT Chapter, Homes by Avi has contributed to creating a future without breast cancer by donating the proceeds from the sale of the “Home of Hope” show home. Last year Home by Avi was awarded the CIBC corporate Team Spirit Award, when they raised over $12,700 at the 12th annual CIBC Run for the Cure.

“Our company feels it is important to be a responsible corporate citizen,” says Avi Amir, President and Founder of Homes by Avi. “We contribute to the society that in turn supports us, and we see supporting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – Alberta/NWT Chapter as a perfect opportunity to do that.”

All donations made to the CBCF – Alberta/NWT Chapter go directly to fund, support, and advocate for:

• Relevant and innovative breast cancer research 
• Meaningful education and awareness programs
• Early diagnosis and effective treatment
• A positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer
