“Homes by Avi Displays an Early Christmas Spirit” 11/15/2004
On Monday November 15th, Avi Amir loaded the last of the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes onto a Homes by Avi truck on route to Samaritan’s Purse’s head office. The Calgary office is the head office for Western Canada and last year they collected 300,000 boxes - over a third of the total boxes collected throughout Canada.
In two short weeks Homes by Avi staff in both the Calgary and Edmonton offices filled over 150 show boxes overflowing with gifts. The boxes are destined for needy children of all religions, who have suffered because of war, natural disasters, poverty or illness.
Avi Amir and his staff understand that small gestures can in fact make a big difference. By participating in this initiative we can reach out in a personal way and do something that can in fact change a child’s life.
Homes by Avi is proud to have exceeded our goal of filling 100 boxes.
