HOMES BY AVI MAKING A DIFFERENCE 1/21/2005
FRIDAY, JANUARY 21ST, EDMONTON - On Wednesday, January 19th 2005, Homes by Avi presented the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation a cheque in the amount of $14,164.00. Rick Lystang, Homes by Avi’s General Manager of Operations and Miles Kohan, Homes by Avi’s Sales & Marketing Manager, presented the cheque. “There are so many worthwhile things to do and we support many including schools and the homeless, but this particular one makes so much sense,” says Avi Amir. “It’s simply the right thing to do.”
The $14,164.00 was raised at the Homes By Avi (Edmonton) Christmas fundraiser, where partnering trades, suppliers, staff, & Avi Amir all joined to support a worthy cause and doubled last years donation. In addition, at the Homes by Avi Christmas fundraiser we collected a 1/2 ton truck full of toys that were donated to Santa's Anonymous.
The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation is committed to enhancing health services for children in one of the largest geographic regions in the world. Children who benefit from their services come from Alberta, the Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and British Columbia. More than 80,000 patient visits happen at the Stollery Children’s Hospital each year and the number of children needing care is escalating. Much of the work at this top rated hospital is cutting edge – literally the difference between life and death and all of this in our very own backyard...
