Moving for a Cure - Home of Hope 2005 5/25/2005
Homes by Avi will unveil the Home of Hope – Edmonton. The Home of Hope in Edmonton is the latest in an ongoing partnership between the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Alberta/NWT Chapter and Homes by Avi.
The Meadowbrook Ravines, “Ainsley” show home, has been built to raise awareness of breast cancer in the community and to give home buyers the opportunity to put their purchase to a good cause. Upon the sale of the Home of Hope in Edmonton, as well as a sister home in Calgary, Homes by Avi will donate $25,000 to breast cancer research and community projects.

Why: In 2005 an estimated 21,600 women will be diagnosed
diagnosed with breast cancer and 5,300 will die of it.
As the leading national volunteer-based organization dedicated to creating a future without breast cancer, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation works collaboratively to fund, support and advocate for: relevant and innovative breast cancer research, meaningful education and awareness programs, early diagnosis and effective treatment and a positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer.
Proceeds from the Home of Hope will go towards furthering the CBCF – Alberta/NWT Chapter vision.
