Unique fundraiser in support of Stollery Children 9/8/2005
Homes by Avi and Montorio Homes celebrated the VIP Grand Opening of two homes built in Lakeland Ridge. The proceeds from the sale of these homes will be donated to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. Dianne Young, President & CEO of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, Stollery miracle child, Josh Hui and family, Avi Amir, President of Homes by Avi, and Martino Di Luigi, General Manager for Montorio Homes, were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony, catered by Fairmont Hotel MacDonald.
This is the next chapter of an ongoing partnership between these two companies and the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. Unlike other home lottery fundraisers, these homes will be available for sale on the open market with proceeds benefiting the Stollery Children’s Hospital. These homes will be open to the general public on Saturday, September 10. Both will be sold with a November 2005 occupancy date.
Homes by Avi and Montorio Homes understand that community support is crucial if the Stollery Children’s Hospital is to maintain the best quality of pediatric health care in Alberta, and Western and Northern Canada.
The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation enhances health services for children by raising money to support the Stollery Children’s Hospital and programs that support health, prevent disease and treat illness. Funding provided by the Foundation supports health services for children through education, research, special services and acquisition of equipment.
