Avi Amir Recognized by Safety Codes Council 5/12/2007
On Friday May 4th, at the Safety Codes Council’s conference and annual general meeting in Jasper, the Safety Codes Council recognized Avi Amir, for his valuable involvement and long service with Alberta’s public safety codes systems. Avi Amir, president and founder of Homes by Avi, served on the Safety Codes Council since February 1995 to January 2007, totally 12 years of public service. Honored for his volunteer efforts and valuable contributions to the deliberations of the Building Technical Council, that helps to establish a strong public safety system for Albertans. Dr. Ken Sauer, chair of the Safety Codes Council wrote the following, “The Safety Codes Council and its major partner, Municipal Affairs & Housing, continue to work closely with agencies, corporations and municipalities in administering the Safety Codes Act and the delivery of Alberta’s public safety system. Such partnership needs the dedication and commitment of many individuals such as you. Your dedication and partnership have assisted us in making great strides since the Council was established in January 1993.
